Once I Die

Honestly,
Tried so really hard to forget me..
The hostile conscience harrows me,
Having not come to grips with humanity...

Relentlessly,
I converse with the morbid me..
Says I'm the one to have ruined me..
Nothing more to this reality...

Then...
Heard a few words from the overcast sky,
Assuring me that I would fly..
Once I die..
Once I die...

----

Thought I'd give it a try..
But woke up to a few curious whys..
Never seen someone turn off their lights??

----

Won't hear the inarticulate screams..
Certain this'll all be a dream..
I'll be over with the stifled cries..
Once I die..
Once I die...

----

Recklessly,
Walked in and out of the Love I see..
Now posted over every wretched memory,
Is a whimper for some stability..

Like those words from the overcast sky..
Feel certain that I would fly..
Once I die..
Once I die...

----

So I give it one more shot..
The Jury says I should not..
But every man guards his own thought...

----

Won't no more hear my inarticulate screams..
This'll all be just a dream..
And I'll be redeemed from all my lies..
Once I die..
Once I die...
